  • idoo USB Encryption will divide USB drive into two sections after encryption: secure area and public area. You can encrypt your vital files by dragging and dropping it into secure area while you can store normal files on public area.

Encrypt USB Drive

  • The following are the steps on how to encrypt USB drive:
    Note: idoo USB Encryption will format your USB drive automatically during encryption, so we highly suggest you to backup the files on the drive before encryption.
    Step 1: Plug your USB drive into computer.
    Step 2: Select your target USB drive and set the size of secure area, and then click Install.
    Step 3: Set user name and a password of six characters at least in length for secure area, click OK.
    A secure area has been created on USB drive, and it means the USB drive is encrypted.

Encrypt Files on USB Drive


  • Step 1: Encrypt your USB firstly.
    Step 2: Access to secure area
    After USB drive encryption, a secure area is created on USB drive.
    Double-click secure area on USB drive to open it and type in right password, click Open.
    Note: Under read-only mode, all files on secure area are read-only for getting more protection.
    Step 3: Drag and drop files you want to password protect into secure area. Files will be encrypted once being moved into the secure area.
    Note: You can open secure area on USB drive with correct password in any computer without additional software installation.

Decrypt USB Drive

  • To decrypt your USB drive, you can uninstall the encryption software from USB drive.
    Note: When uninstalling of USB Drive Encryption, your USB device will be formatted. So we strongly recommend you to backup your data on the device before the operation.
    Step 1: Plug your USB drive in computer.
    Step 2: Select your target USB drive, click Uninstall.
    Step 3: Enter correct username password, and then click OK.
    By far, idoo USB Encryption is uninstalled from your USB drive. The USB drive is decrypted now.

Decrypt Files on USB Drive


  • Step 1: Plug your USB drive in computer and open your USB drive.
    Step 2: Double-click secure area and enter right password to the popped up dialog box, and then click Open to open the secure area.
    Step 3: Drag files out of secure area and save them to another destinations. Files are decrypted once they are moved out of the secure area.
