Password Protect a Folder in Windows 10/8/7/XP

1. How to make an encrypted folder on HDD
1. Run idoo Private Disk.

PS: The size of the encrypted space depends on the storage device, while the maximum size of the encrypted area is 500G.

2. How to open the encrypted folder on HDD
Method 1: Double-click the idoo image file, whose path is showed on the interface, and input the password, then click "Open".
Method 2: Double click the idoo Private Disk, choose "Mount or edit a Private Disk", then click "Next".
Click "Private Disk on HDD", choose the GPD file on HDD ① that you want to open, enter the right password and click "Next". If the Private Disk is hidden, please choose "Hidden Private Disk on HDD" ②, and then click "Next".
4. Then click "Finish". Then the hidden encrypted folder is opened.

3. How to shut down and protect the encrypted folder on HDD
1. Shut down all relevant program of idoo Private Disk, run idoo Private Disk, and then run it again, choose "Unmount a Private Disk". Click "Finish".
2. If you choose "Protect the Private Disk after unmount", the encrypted folder will be hidden.

4. How to remove the protection of encrypted folder on HDD
1. Shut down all relevant program of idoo Private Disk, run idoo Private Disk. Click "Mount or edit a Private Disk" on the panel, and click "Next".
2. Select the GPD file from "Hidden Private Disk on HDD" and input the password, click "Next".
3. Choose "Unprotect the Private Disk", and click "Finish".

5. How to copy the encrypted folder from HDD to a USB disk
1. Shut down all relevant program of idoo Private Disk, run idoo Private Disk. Select "Mount or edit a Private Disk" on the panel, and click "Next".
2. Click the GPD file ① from "Private Disk on HDD", enter the password ② and click "Next". If your encrypted file has been protected, choose the GPD file ③ from "Hidden Private Disk on HDD".
3. Select "Install onto USB disk" and click "Finish".

6. How to change password of an encrypted folder on HDD
1. Shut down all relevant program of idoo Private Disk, run idoo Private Disk. Double-click the idoo image file, enter the password, click "Open", and then choose "Change Password".
2. Input your new password, and then click "Change".

7. How to uninstall the encrypted folder on HDD
Shut down all relevant program of idoo Private Disk. Delete GPD file directly on the HDD without uninstalling.
